This is an audio recording tool from Wondershare designed to capture sound from the web. The application allows you to record audio from music streaming websites, online radio stations, sites like YouTube or Vimeo, and virtually from any audio source.
Recording audio with this app is as simple as clicking a button; as soon as a song or video starts playing, the app will capture and save the audio to a file with the MP3 or AAC extension. You can choose the folder where the files will be stored and set the audio quality. Moreover, the app includes a function that automatically splits tracks one by one by detecting silence gaps between them. Also, you can set the app to remove ads in a recording by filtering files with a specified duration.
One feature I found particularly handy is the app's ability to identify ID3 tags. With a single click, it connects to Gracenote to obtain information about the recorded track, such as title, artist, album, cover, and lyrics, if available. Tracks are kept in a library that includes a basic music player with the ability to create playlists. Another nifty feature is the task scheduler, which lets you set up a day and time for automatic recording.
The application does an excellent job of recording audio from all kinds of sources, generating high-quality audio files that you can play with your favorite music player. It has a polished tabbed interface that makes the recording process a breeze. If you want to test it, the free unregistered version is fully functional and can be tried out for 7 days.
